Sara Bahermez is a Yemeni experimental performance artist, director and queer radical from Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is deeply dedicated to creating performances and constructing live images that unearth the unspoken of, question the taboo and ‘make the invisible, visible’. Her works include ‘Bayt: An Immersive performance exploring trauma, childhood and intimate spaces’ and ‘Hair: An Exploratory piece on habits, restrictions and mobility’.

After graduating with a B.A from NYU Abu Dhabi, she moved across the Atlantic as a Fulbright Scholar and is currently pursuing her MFA in Theatre at Towson University.

Sara is excited to delve headfirst and sink her arms into the colorfully queer and intersectional Baltimore community.
