David Gerson is an attorney who lives in Baltimore, MD and represents clients throughout the Northeast. Prior to attending law school, David worked in the theatre industry as a manager and producer for over 10 years. He began his career at the now defunct Theatre Virginia in Richmond, VA. He then worked at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, the Vineyard Theatre in New York City and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in Allentown, PA.
David was the General Manager of New York Stage & Film, where he worked on a season of new work including plays by Eve Ensler and Richard Greenberg. He has produced world premiere plays by Jenny Schwartz (Cause for Alarm), Nathan Parker (Scarlet Sees the Light) and Sarah Overman (Her Majesty the King, produced with Antonia Fairchild). He also has collaborated twice with Obie award-winning director, Ken Rus Schmoll.
Broadway credits include Rent, Hairspray, Spamalot, Crybaby, The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Laura Linney, and Metamorphoses. He has reviewed grant applications and advised The Jonathan Larson Foundation and The Allan S. Gordon Foundation. David has worked with Gay Men’s Health Crisis, The Legal Aid Society, and New York Legal Assistance Group on Holocaust restitution claims. He was also a student law clerk for The Honorable Loretta Preska of the Southern District of New York.
