2 New Additions and a promotion as Iron Crow Theatre Continues Expansion.

Ann Turiano new Director of Education, Outreach, and Literature, Jeanette Wooten new Public Relations Manager, and Heather Peacock new Director of Production.

BALTIMORE, Maryland - August 12, 2015: Iron Crow Theatre today announced that Ann Turiano will join Iron Crow Theatre in the newly created role of Director of Education, Outreach, and Literature alongside Jeanette Wooten who joins Iron Crow Theatre as the new Public Relations Manager. In addition, Heather Peacock has been promoted from Resident Stage Manager to Director of Production. All appointments are effective immediately and will report directly to Artistic Director/CEO Sean Elias.

As Director of Education, Outreach, and Literature, Turiano will have oversight of the strategic direction and expansion of Iron Crow Theatre’s education/outreach efforts and literary needs - which all combined look to redefine what Iron Crow Theatre is capable of here in Baltimore. Ann joins Iron Crow Theatre after previous work with The Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory and Glass Mind Theatre and holds a B.A. in Acting from Point Park University and an M.A. in Advanced Theatre Practice (Devised and Collaborative Theatre) from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

“Baltimore has such a dynamic theatre community and I am profoundly honored to join Iron Crow Theatre to help cement it's place here," said Turiano. "Sean's ambition and enthusiasm are absolutely contagious and we're both in alignment in creating challenging work and facilitating important conversations - I can't wait to see what the future holds.”

As Public Relations Manager, Wooten will be charged with developing and growing a vast awareness of the organization while ensuring accessible and transparent dialogue with members of our community and of the press - celebrating the successes of the theatre, our artists and administrators. Jeanette joins Iron Crow Theatre after previous work with The Baltimore Ravens and Apple, Inc. and holds a B.S. in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Morgan State University.

"I have a passion for giving back to communities and want to be a part of making this city great," said Wooten. "My belief is that the arts are vital to this revitalization and that through the medium of theatre, great change is possible. I am thrilled to help spread this message and share the important work of this organization throughout the city."

As Director of Production, Peacock will be responsible for the technical execution and administration of each production in the future 16/17 mainstage season - including coordinating the operations of various production sub-disciplines in service of the artistic vision. Heather has been apart of Iron Crow Theatre for many years both formally and informally, having  performed and/or stage managed numerous productions. She holds a B.S. in Theatre from Towson University.

"I couldn't be more excited to take on this new role," said Peacock. "I fought to get into this company so you better believe I'm here to stay! This theatre has so much to offer Baltimore and the arts as a field and I'm thrilled to be right in the middle of every moment."

“I am thrilled that Ann and Jeanette will be joining our team and that Heather has accepted a new role with heightened responsibility within the organization,” said Elias. “All three women share in our vision of building a leading educational, creative, and artistic theatrical force in Baltimore, and all place the same strong emphasis on excellence as I do."

Iron Crow Theatre is a professional not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization and Baltimore’s only queer theatre. Known as the theatre of mischief and subversion, Iron Crow Theatre celebrates the renegade and the unorthodox in all of us, reflecting the diverse stories of our community and the world in which we live. We produce and create professional new work, re-imagine well-known stories, and seek out innovative scripts. Our work ignites conversation and all voices are welcome.
